District Run provides professional moving, hauling, and cleaning services in Washington, DC and surrounding areas. All services are subject to availability and confirmation.

We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or discontinue service at our discretion for safety, legal, or operational reasons.

• Estimates may be provided online, by phone, or in writing.

• All estimates are non-binding unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing.

• Final pricing may vary based on actual labor time, materials, distance, access conditions, stairs, elevators, item volume, weight, or additional services requested.

• Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete information when requesting a quote.

6. Moving Services – Damage Claims Policy

District Run takes reasonable care in performing moving services; however, damage may occasionally occur.

a. Filing a Claim

To be eligible for consideration, customers must:

• Notify District Run within 24 hours of service completion

• Submit the claim in writing via email

• Include photos, a description of the item, and proof of value (receipt or estimate if available)

Claims submitted after 24 hours may be denied.

b. Items Not Covered

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, District Run is not responsible for damage to:

• Items packed by the customer

• Pre-existing damage

• Fragile, antique, or high-value items not disclosed in advance

• Electronics or mechanical items that malfunction without visible external damage

• Items damaged due to structural conditions (tight spaces, weak flooring, narrow staircases, elevators, or building limitations)

• Particle board, pressboard, or items made with low-durability materials

c. Valuation & Liability Coverage (Insurance Alignment)

District Run maintains general liability insurance as required by law. General liability insurance does not provide full replacement coverage for customer property.

Unless additional coverage is purchased in writing:

• All items are moved under Released Value Protection

• Liability is limited to $0.60 per pound per damaged item

• This coverage does not equal the item’s full market or replacement value

Example: A 50-pound item has a maximum claim value of $30.

d. Full Value Protection (If Offered)

If Full Value Protection is offered, it must be:

• Requested before service begins

• Confirmed in writing

• Subject to an additional fee

Under Full Value Protection, District Run may repair the item, replace it with a comparable item, or offer a cash settlement at its discretion.

e. Claims Resolution

• Claims will be reviewed within a reasonable timeframe

• District Run reserves the right to inspect damaged items

• Approved claims may be settled by repair, replacement, or monetary compensation

• Compensation will not exceed the amount paid for the service, unless required by law

7. Cleaning Services – Damage & Quality Policy

• Cleaning results vary based on surface condition, wear, and staining

• We do not guarantee removal of permanent stains, mold, or damage

• Customers must report damage or concerns within 24 hours of service completion

• District Run is not responsible for damage caused by:

• Normal wear and tear

• Improper installation

• Pre-existing defects

• Manufacturer defects

Liability for cleaning services is limited to the cost of the affected service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• District Run’s total liability is limited to the lesser of:

• The valuation amount under applicable coverage, or

• The total amount paid for the service
